Among the above braking systems, service braking system and parking braking system are necessary for every car.

The braking system can be divided into human braking system, dynamic braking system and servo braking system. The braking system with the driver's body as the only braking energy is called the manual braking system. The braking system that relies entirely on the potential energy in the form of air pressure or hydraulic pressure converted by the power of the engine is called the dynamic braking system; Braking systems that use both human and engine power for braking are called servo braking systems or power assisted braking systems.

The braking system can be divided into mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electromagnetic and so on. The braking system that adopts two or more energy transfer modes at the same time is called the combined braking system.
